Azienda Agricola Montefabbrello

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to - and I've been to many in almost all regions of Italy. I'm vegetarian and their vegetable starter was unbelievable - made with simple local ingredients. The dishes were abundant and the price affordable for Elba.

We had been to eat one evening and were greeted in a curt manner by the host. We decided to stay for food and give it another chance. Our waiter who thought we were German made a joke about disliking Germans, a bit odd. We are not German. The food was ok and the environment is pleasant. We returned two days later to be greeted by a young woman who grunted “hey” while she turned her back and asked us to follow. No eye contact, no hospitality. This felt uncomfortable at least. She mumbled about water and I ordered some in Italian as I like to go my best to speak local language. She banged the water down without a word. I asked her in Italian if everything was ok. And had we had done anything wrong. She tossed her eyes up the ceiling and walked off and left us with no service etc. At this point we felt we had to leave. I work in hospitality and I can honestly say I have never experienced such rudeness. There seemed to be an anti tourist feeling there, and if so I would suggest they stop reaching out to this crowd as this woman obviously didn’t want to serve us. Very disappointed

The venue is amazing, quite close to a well known restaurant . It has a spectacular swimming pool, immersed in the countryside.What makes it a MUST Try is the food.which is delicious. The young chef is fantastic.Don't hesitate and book your aperitivo!

Incredible food! We had the local vegetable platter and the pork ribs and grilled pork .. which was SO good. I don’t usually leave reviews but the food (grown locally on the property) was cooked to perfection. You could literally taste the freshness, definitely best meal we had on Elba and well worth the drive. We were the only tourists there and everything was in Italian but nothing Google translate can’t handle! Definitely try if you go to Elba!

We had no reservation for a dinner but luckily we got a table. There were great cuisines; fresh veggies and wine. We ordered mixed seasonal veggies which were fresh, tasty and suitable even for 4 persons as a starter. Grilled meats seem to be popular here as one of us ordered Stewed Rabbit. The rest of us had different dishes of Italian noodle. The desserts were super good. The service and vibes were really nice. The price was suitable to the quality of food.
