A very pleasant stay at the B&B Oca Giuliva. The property is in an excellent location, close to Cecina and convenient for Bolgheri and other beautiful towns in the area. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to offer helpful advice and make guests feel at home. The place is quiet and relaxing, ideal for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy a few days of peace. The private parking is also much appreciated, making your stay even more convenient. A great plus is the welcome extended to four-legged friends: dogs of all sizes are welcome, an unusual and much appreciated aspect. Recommended for those seeking tranquility, genuine hospitality, and a strategic location for visiting the splendid Etruscan Coast.
Pit stop on our way to Sardinia from port Piombino. The staff was very friendly but they didn't speak English very well, we used google translate to understand each other. The rooms were clean, traditional and the breakfast felt like we were in a family. Loved the small family owned business.
Nicely decorated rooms but quite dark - keeping the shades closed to avoid letting the sun in, also because the thermic insulation is very poor, the moment you turn off the A/C, it gets very hot in the room. The A/C is also not strong enough, keeping it on all night at minimum temperature and it’s still (too) warm in the room. The breakfast is ok but lacks salty choices. The swimming pool is fine, but there is little to no spots in the shade next to it, as soon as more than 3 ppl are there, all is left is spots under the burning sun. The B&B is somewhat loud, hearing the cars on the road right next to it. Obviously you need a car to get there and do anything from there. All in all not a bad experience but lots of small things which need improvement and which make the stay, imo, a bit overpriced.
Lovely couple who own and run this B&B. There English is a hell of a lot better than my Italian especially if we both used Google Translate.! We only stayed one night as passing through, but plenty of information given about local restaurants etc. Breakfast started you off well for the day ahead. My only criticism is that you do experience some road noise in the room we stayed in.
