We were welcomed and pampered by Mrs. Delfina. Welcoming, well-heated rooms with heated bathrooms and showers. Views of the mountains and Castelli. Excellent breakfast with homemade pastries. Traditional handmade cups and dishes from Castelli. Also recommended for those on a retreat in Avalokita who haven't found a place to sleep.

We only stayed at the bivouac for two nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer! The location is enchanting, surrounded by nature, with lots of adorable kittens, three beautiful dogs, and a very friendly sheep named Violetta. The food prepared by Mrs. Delfina was excellent, all homemade and delicious, from the mostaccioli to the breakfast desserts. We ate wonderfully at dinner: authentic dishes, plentiful, and full of authentic flavors. The arrosticini were fantastic, served with homemade bread, baked that same day! The rooms are simple but well-equipped and comfortable. In the evening, after dinner, we enjoyed chatting with the owners: welcoming, friendly, and full of tips on what to see in the surrounding area. We felt at home. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic...I don't usually leave "hyperbolic" reviews, but in this case I gladly do. A fantastic place, with a unique, marvelous view...the Gran Sasso stretches out before you, overwhelming you with its presence and its nature. And then, the people who run it, Delfina, Antonio, and Vittorino, are wonderful and genuine people: anyone who wants a true and authentic understanding of the history and culture of these places can trust them. Their sensitivity, their experience, their culture: to not be just simple tourists, we visit places steeped in history and culture...RECOMMENDED
