Excellence in every way
A superb stay in Montefioralle. Matteo is a friendly, polite, helpful, and passionate host. When someone puts their heart into what they do, they can never go wrong! He helped me from the moment I booked following some personal issues that arose a few days before my visit. The house is spectacular. Spacious, clean, in a beautiful location, and with a garden that would be the envy of anyone. Ask Matteo for advice on where to eat and what to visit in the area. You won't be disappointed!
The recently renovated apartment is truly beautiful and spacious, in a typical Tuscan style, with refined, not cheap, pieces. Matteo did a truly excellent job. Located halfway between Florence and Siena, it's truly a strategic spot for exploring that wonderful stretch of Tuscany.
In the heart of Chianti, inside a magical medieval village, we stayed at Il Papavero. The house perfectly reflects the Tuscan style. A large fireplace where you can enjoy a snack of bread and olive oil from local olive trees, the furnishings are perfect, including a period stone sink. Everything is clean and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Il Papavero is a place you can stay 365 days a year. Even when it's raining outside, you can relax on the sofa in front of the imposing fireplace and read a book. The village is fantastic. The simplicity, good taste, and attention to beauty of the inhabitants will transport you to another dimension. Outside Montefioralle, you can walk among the vineyards and savor the local products, which are another certainty. Thanks to Matteo, who advised us where to buy the right food, where to savor the right meat, and where to enjoy the landscape. Il Papavero will allow you to fully experience Montefioralle, Chianti, and, indeed, the Tuscany that is so dear to our collective imagination. At Papavero in Montefioralle, you'll feel like you're in a movie. Unmissable.
I spent a short vacation here. The apartment is truly beautiful and spacious. It overlooks the village's main street, which turned out to be a real gem in the heart of Chianti. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!
