We've stayed at Roberta's twice, and both times we felt right at home. The property is a true gem, just steps from the many characteristic villages of this part of Tuscany. The hospitality of Roberta and Ziggy (her beautiful dog) makes you feel right at home. The breakfast was perfect, the rooms and linens were spotless. I'll definitely be staying here again when I'm in the area.
Top.
IT is one of the best places I have been. Roberta is a incredible hoster, who is looking finding to make you comfortable during your stay. She is always willing to recommend you good places around Toscana, and she wants you to really enjoy your stay in her house. She prepared a gorgeous breakfast as you can see in the photos. She suggested us to go to some good beaches, as well as good restaurants. She has a friendly dog, called Ziggy. I have no doubt she will succeed with her hospital lot. The place is one hour by car to the beach, and is surrounded by beautiful montains. Good place to disconnect and relax.
I'd like to point out that my review has no ulterior motive, neither competitive nor otherwise. I stayed at this property for work. In my opinion, the person managing the property has no idea what cleanliness and hospitality mean. I asked for plant-based milk and was kindly offered it, but unfortunately, when I asked for cereal, it contained live insects. I initially glossed over the incident, simply pointing it out to the person managing the property without causing any controversy. At the end of my stay, the person managing the property had the courage to point out that I hadn't behaved properly because I had used both beds in my room (with the suspicion that I might have let someone else sleep in my room). I did indeed use both beds, unaware that this could cause so many problems in a hospitality facility, but I was the only one to sleep in my room. It makes me wonder if the person managing this property doesn't change the linens as they should? Is the cost of laundry worth more than having a clean room for the incoming guest? (Especially in these times, cleanliness should be the number one priority in a hospitality facility.) Furthermore, the person in question criticized my behavior, which he deemed impolite, claiming that "you young people need to understand that not everything is owed to you." (?) Probably an outburst due to the facility's incompetent management, understandable in some ways, less so in others. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience in many ways.
