B&B Casa Uliva

The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing, ideal for those seeking a quiet stay in the historic center of town. We stayed at Casa Uliva in early August in a comfortable and quiet setting. Breakfast on the veranda was plentiful and enriched with typical local products. Thanks to the owner's kindness, we were able to extend our stay and work at the B&B in complete tranquility, while taking a dip in the sea in nearby Castellaneta Marina in the afternoon.

How can we describe this elegant, comfortable historic center property without starting with the magic of a unique terrace where you can experience suspended moments and ancient sounds, like the wind blowing through the alleys, an unexpected bell tower, distant voices, and nocturnal silences that reconcile you with yourself and the world? The welcoming home is also immensely comfortable and truly functional, and breakfast is authentic and meticulously prepared with exquisite organic products. In short, everything at Casa Uliva reflects a refined simplicity that captures the authentic heart of a region through generous, timeless hospitality. A truly not to be missed!

An enchanting space in the heart of Castellaneta's historic center, where time seems to slow down and every detail tells a story of care and beauty. The recently renovated house is a little gem nestled in the hushed silence of the whitewashed houses, easily accessible on foot yet sheltered from the noise and bustle. The atmosphere is unique, welcoming, and well-air-conditioned (though rarely necessary, thanks to the thick walls that keep the house naturally cool). The kitchen is fully equipped, and the outdoor space is simply wonderful: a spacious, airy, and private patio, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the place. Breakfast was an experience in itself: plentiful, authentic, with products sourced directly from Vito's farm. The strictly organic clementine preserve spread on bread deserves a special mention: a concentration of flavor, sun, and authenticity. The location is strategic for those who wish to combine moments of pure relaxation with excursions in the surrounding area: the crystal-clear sea and the Sassi of Matera are just a few kilometers away and offer unforgettable views. A final word, but not least, goes to Vito: his discreet yet constant availability makes the stay even more pleasant. Always available for every need, with a rare and genuine attention. My partner and I decided to spend a weekend in total relaxation, to unplug from everyday life and work, and to dedicate a few days to ourselves... well, what can I say... Mr. Vito made it all possible!!! He accommodated all our requests, attentive to the smallest details, and always available for any need. In short, he was simply EXCEPTIONAL!!! I stayed at the property last week for a business trip to Taranto. Despite the fact that it's very new, the management's professionalism is impeccable. Mr. Vito was very welcoming and helpful. The location is stunning, and the attention to detail in the property's renovation is evident. The historic town center is beautiful and peaceful. A highlight of the stay was breakfast on the terrace, which the owner prepared with jams and fruit he grows himself. What can I say? It was a relaxing three days that made the trip a little less stressful. I'll be returning in September with my partner.
