When I see near perfect online reviews, I’m sometimes suspicious if they’re ‘real’ reviews. However, after staying there, I’m wondering why everyone didn’t give perfect reviews. I have to say “Wow!” to this beautiful property. The couple who converted this property did an amazing job. The location, property, rooms, and service were all outstanding. Our stay was in mid-March and while there was still a wintery feel outside, the trees were starting to bud and we had amazing weather. It’s very peaceful at this location with beautiful views all around. The room was beautiful and had a rustic feel but was clean, well designed, well decorated, great use of space, and had modern amenities. The communities in the area are enjoyable and there are natural as well as historical attractions in the area. The previous two places we had stayed on our road trip vacation had horrible beds. We were so relieved to arrive and find a very comfortable and spacious bed that allowed us to get great sleep. My only complaint about the room is that the headboard and footboard of the bed were not actually attached to the frame holding the mattress. Because of this, if I accidentally touched either the headboard or footboard, it easily moved and squeaked a lot. Since I’m taller I had to try to place myself perfectly in the middle to avoid bumping with my head or feet while sleeping. They offer breakfast and dinner services. We only took them up on one day of breakfast since we were out exploring the area all the other times. We hope to be able to go back soon and if we’re in the area, we will definitely make this a first choice of places to stay.

Very nice place in Maiella with very friendly owners. The room we had (Orione) has a good size, is a bit colder because it is on the ground floor, and has a beautiful view to the Maiella. From the upper floor, it is even better. We enjoyed a very good breakfast (self-made cake, marmelade and yoghurt, juice, bread, and coffee). The dinner we had 6 times in the evening is traditional, varied, has 3 courses and dessert, and is very delicious. You don't have hiking trails directly, but around it is perfect for hiking to Maiella. Beautiful place. Thank you.

A friend and I stayed here in late May and our stay here was perfect. The renovation of the rooms and dining rooms is beautiful and the atmosphere and scenery is so peaceful. We enjoyed many of the 3 course meals with wine included and the food was fresh and beautifully prepared. Donnatella and Giancarlo could not have been better hosts and saved the day for me when I lost my bag at a toll booth, calling the police and arranging for me to have the bah returned. I hope to come back with my family, it was the best possible experience for staying in Abruzzo near the national parks.

I stayed at this property for a night in November with my family and my only regret was that I didn’t stay longer. This was our favorite accommodation on a 2 week trip to Italy. The accommodations were just beautiful. We had a large room, fully upgraded with a fabulous bathroom. The views of the snow capped mountains from our balcony were so beautiful. The owners asked if we wanted to have dinner that evening and we said yes and it was amazing, we had a 4 course home cooked meal with antipasto, I’ll primo, I’ll second and dessert. This is an ageist Uris model and they grow vegetables, olive trees and raise pigs. The owners were so very kind and made every effort to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. We loved this place and the owners! Great accommodations, great food, great service, and great hospitality!
