About

Poggio Imperiale is a country house on the hills above Civitanova Marche, in the province of Macerata, with views that reach all the way to the sea. The name comes from Napoleon, who stayed in a villa nearby in 1797. The property includes five apartments and plenty of outdoor space: a heated swimming pool open year-round, a large woodland area with a one-kilometre nature trail lit in the evenings, riding facilities, a garden with children's play area and three hot tubs with chromotherapy. There is also a shaded courtyard for parties and events. Apartments start from 66 euros. A good base with both hills and coast within reach.

It was our first experience in a bubble, and waking up to squirrels hopping in the branches above us was truly lovely! The facility is also very spacious and even has a spa, which we enjoyed as soon as we arrived! Since we were there during a warm period, we also dined at the wooden tables outside the bubble in the middle of the woods! Everything was perfect! Highly recommended.

I'd like to give it fewer stars than 1. I uploaded the video, but I don't know if it will be available to view. Let me start by saying that they gave us a free night in the Bubble Room (€250; you'll understand why I know this after reading). We arrived and already realized that there wasn't the privacy promised on the website. The bubbles are close to each other; the path to reach them is arduous and not suitable for everyone. Once at the facility, we decided to pay extra for the hot tub. We paid €20 for two 30-minute sessions, but so far so good. The hot tub was dirty, there was sand, and it didn't work as it should. The water was cold. It was anything but relaxing, but that's not all. We returned to the bubble room and, as per the attached photos and video, the bed was infested with ants and various insects. We're in nature, okay, we're not even picky people, we're used to sleeping in tents and we've NEVER had our tent infested with so many insects. ON THE BED FOR MORE. There were so many that we were forced to sleep in the car, in the property's parking lot. We sent a message to the phone number provided, complete with video and photos. I'll start by saying it was midnight and we never would have hung up on the phone to disturb anyone. Is that the end of it? IF ONLY. The next day we wake up, and as soon as the owner (very rude) arrives, we calmly and kindly inform him of what happened, hoping he'll realize the gravity of the situation and offer a refund or something similar. He continues to cling to any phrase like "it's never happened," "I believe you slept in the car, how disgusting," but then we tell him to go and see the situation for himself. 20 minutes pass—a bit too long, don't you think? He comes back up and changes his tune. "Well, we're in the countryside, it's normal," "all you had to do was shake the sheets" (ridiculous), "THEY'RE JUST THREE ANTS." When we asked to see the video again, he ran away and said he didn't want to know anything about it. MORAL? He started removing the ants and then denied it, not very smart, considering there are videos and photos. I hate to leave a negative review; I never do, but this time it was necessary. Rudeness, teasing, we were even told by the manager that we should have called him. Yes, it's a shame his number isn't listed anywhere; there's only one number for the property, which we contacted. We left without breakfast, because only ants can sit at some people's tables. EDIT: They promised a refund to the person who gave us the gift, after she had to contact them herself, getting angry. We'll see in the coming days; I'll update the review if it arrives. EDIT: As promised, they at least provided a refund.

I spent a weekend at Poggio Imperiale in Civitanova Marche and couldn't help but leave a positive review. First of all, I was struck by the kindness and hospitality of the staff, who were always available to help their guests. Poggio is surrounded by greenery and offers a variety of amenities, including sleeping in bubble beds under the trees, hot tubs, a swimming pool, ping pong, paddle tennis, and much more! Thanks in part to the beautiful weather, I'll have wonderful memories of this place and hope to return soon. ☀️

Stunning property; we slept in a bubble, surrounded by nature and in complete privacy. Perfect for relaxing, thanks also to the heated pool, which we used until late at night. Well-equipped, with both the showers near the pool and the bathroom next to the bubble. A dream experience, thanks also to the hospitality of the kind and attentive hosts, perfectly in keeping with the tranquility and peace of the location. We absolutely recommend it for any occasion, whether for a rejuvenation from everyday life or for families and groups of friends. Definitely worth repeating; next time we'll try the spa.
