Very good hotel, good location, great restaurants close by. Rooms large and comfortable. Breakfast very basic, view spectacular . Great price
We really did not enjoy this stay. There was no hot water or hot water pressure in room 8. When we mentioned it to Gabiana, the manager in reception, he rudely fobbed us off. The accomodation was pricey for what you received… no water or fridge in the rooms. Very basic room. We had spent 5 weeks cycling in Italy and had not encountered any rudeness whatsoever until Gabiano at Agriturismo Giorgio. Would not recommend this place at all!
This place is magical! The rooms have a simple design but are functional and kept very clean. The breakfasts are very tasty. There is a huge pool on a terrace overlooking the surrounding olive groves and the sea. The town is just a couple minutes walk away. Everyone working there was very kind and friendly. Definitely one of the best places for a relaxing holiday!
Superb location with exceptional panoramic views and just a stone's throw from Mattinata centro and coastal beaches. The breakfast is good and the evening restaurant offerings of high quality. Would not hesitate to recommend.
This could become a superb chill resort if a bit more effort would be put into it and if they would invest some more into the premises. Pros 1. Nice and quiet area on a massive estate surrounded by olive trees. Walking distance to city centre (very small city though :)) and a few nice restaurants in 10mins walk 2. Rather large rooms with very good working aircon 3. We had the 3 bed deluxe room with seaview. We did not really have a seaview as in front of the little house there was actually a little area full of olive trees. But the “house” was very silent with a massive bathroom, 2 bedrooms and 1 “living room” with mini fridge and a little desk plus a sofa 4. Nice “resort” type of place. We enjoyed the pool a lot, very clean and good water, could make use of some leftover inflatable mattresses. You have showers there too and if you want you can stay the whole day at the pool and from there, indeed, a lovely view (seaview). Also, running restaurant, for breakfast lunch and dinner with delicious food. 5. Food - breakfast - mainly sweet but i asked if they would happen to have boiled eggs. Not available but they offered to make omelette or scrambled eggs. However, the next morning they prepared boiled eggs for everybody. We were very pleasantly surprised with their services. Otherwise, the food there for lunch and dinner is delicious. We ate better food at the hotel then in town! Cons: 1. Definitely need a car to get there and it would be worth being signalized better from the street. The satnav misses it but you can keep your eyes open 2. Reception area is really unclear and so is the parking area. Plus the parking is not so well organised so people just park how they want to, making it difficult sometimes to get in or out 3. The rooms had no windows which is not mentioned anywhere and at times, for some, it may feel claustrophobic 4. Little deposit area - if you have one of the massive “houses” or rooms it is fine, you can use the other rooms for depositing stuff but otherwise we had 2 little nightstands and one sort of...chest of something. Not bad but they could offer a much better option for the space. In the bathroom, again, very little space to deposit the toiletries. The good thing was that we had a clothes rack so we could dry our towels and bathing suits everyday outside. 5. The “resort” like area is a bit unkept...which is a massive shame. It is sooo large and it even has a little hidden orange/lime tree garden where you could sit in the shadow but there is little to no effort put in making it more appealing. Has this “wild” feeling to it which can be nice but it could be so so much more. 6. We were unhappy that we paid for a seaview room which had no windows and sitting on a patio looking at olive trees (sea was somehow well behind this area) does not count as “seaview”.
