We stayed with Carmela and Vincenzo during our trek along the Wool and Silk Road. They were truly kind and helpful; they accompanied us on the trail and prepared a fantastic breakfast for us. 😊 Thanks again! Sara and Rachele
We stayed at Gli Oleandri for three nights as a base for exploring Florence. Vincenzo and Carmela are very friendly and welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. The apartment is spacious, and the B&B has a large garden that guests are welcome to use. Breakfast was very generous, with homemade jams and cakes. The train station in Prato is about a 20-minute drive away, and trains run to Florence every 15 to 30 minutes (one-way fare is €2.80 per person). The parking lots at the station were quite full of commuters, so you might have to walk a short distance to find a spot.
A wonderful experience at the bed and breakfast. The location is sublime, quiet, and peaceful. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful. It's just a few kilometers from the Vaiano station, which takes you to Prato in a matter of minutes. Perfect for those traveling to Florence and wanting to sleep in the tranquility of the hills.
This property welcomed us with the most hospitable hosts! I travel more than 20 times per year and this trip was the most emotional and welcoming - we felt like a family members here. Every morning we received a tray with the fresh coffee and local food. The hosts were warm, friendly and helpful as much as possible. I highly recommend this B&B for a weekend escape from Prato or Firenze - here you can find an eye catching landscape and precious treated olive garden around the house with chaiselongues for a nap or book reading. The place is quiet during the day and night and it's perfect for those who sleep sensitive. We really enjoyed our week here as the apartment is well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay - modern kitchen, dinning table, large double bed and sofa. I would definitely come back here and would recommend this B&B for my friends!
The house is very charming and well-kept, in a beautiful location in the hills of Vaiano. The two owners are exceptionally kind and helpful. We stayed overnight during the Silk Road trek; they picked us up just off the trail to avoid the asphalt, and the next morning they drove us back, even preparing sandwiches for lunch, and then "saved" us from a downpour. They deserve top marks!
