Casa Matilde

We were welcomed into a family-run guesthouse. The whole family is very friendly and welcoming. They gave us advice on various places to visit. We managed to communicate despite the language barrier. The guesthouse is very pleasant with a huge landscaped garden, a large (and very clean) swimming pool, sun loungers, and several places to rest and relax... an ideal place to recharge and unwind. There is also a tennis court. The deluxe room is very large, with a small sitting area, a large wardrobe, a refrigerator, and a TV. The guesthouse has a unique, old-fashioned vintage style. Free parking is available. The Wi-Fi works very well. The place is very clean. Breakfast is plentiful and made to order. A special mention goes to the two employees we met, "Yapa and his friend." They were very smiley, pleasant, friendly, and very helpful... wonderful people. The only downside was the bedding in our room, which could be improved or replaced.

A wonderful place. Time stands still, and we find ourselves immersed in this fairytale atmosphere. The grounds are a feast for the eyes. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. The owners are evidently well-traveled, as the house is rich in details. Frequented by VIPs from around the world. Highly recommended.

Just steps from the sea but away from it all. A special place with special people for special people.

If you want to escape this stressful and hectic life, you absolutely must go to Casa Matilde. You won't believe it, but being just 10 minutes from the sea feels like you're in the Chianti hills. You'll be welcomed by very kind and helpful people.

It's a magical place that slowly wins you over... within a short time, you'll find yourself captivated by the magical atmosphere created by the splendid park, the antique feel of the rooms, the silence of the scattered gazebos... Antonio and Caterina are wonderful hosts who manage to make everything seem natural, simple, and at home. In short, it's almost like arriving at the home of lifelong friends... The beautiful, well-maintained tennis court and swimming pool are surrounded by a variety of exotic plants that make the farmhouse feel like a small Indonesian oasis. Good music and the fresh scent of cleanliness provide a constant background noise. A strategic location for easy access to the sea. Not to be missed!
