Agriturismo Castro

Today, a group of biker friends and I had the pleasure of dining at the Castro farmhouse. The menu was unusual, but excellent and plentiful. Spaghetti with mint was fabulous, trofie with zucchini, zucchini flowers, and crispy bacon were to die for. Plus, there were plentiful appetizers, and the superb suckling pig with potatoes. To finish, wild boar and roast beef. Dessert included, along with wines, etc. An experience worth repeating.

Breakfast for €10 would be: a small slice of cake from Lidl, a small square of tart, coffee or cappuccino. Value: €2.60 at the best coffee bar! Dinner: €25, a mini appetizer, a mini portion of pasta with a red sauce made with garlic, a super-mini slice of tagliata (5 micro slices), not a single piece of bread. The brown room, the furniture smells old, the white blankets have holes, the upholstery, if you will, is very old, not even a mattress cover, the bed is so sagging, you have to sleep on your side with the risk of rolling over in the middle during the night. The hot shower alternates with cold. The room is very, very old… and poorly maintained. The exterior is very beautiful and well-kept, the dining room very charming and quaint. The exterior is the complete opposite of the rooms. A complete lack of attention. I'm leaving this review because we felt ripped off by the price we paid. And the lack of attention to guests' rest. A few more measures would be enough, like throwing out all the smelly furniture and renovating the bathrooms.

Wow - we went to have dinner at this agriturismo, and It went amazing Quality, quantity and price wise was crazy good Also they were quite flexible, as it was too much food for us, and we didn't wanna leave it there, we asked to change some stuff (like bring only one 2nd dish and so on), and they were quite alright with it The food was spectacular - I strongly recommend it God and the pannacotta with pistachio....out of this world
