My husband organized this weekend in Tricarico, choosing the "Io sto qui a Tricarico" accommodation, and from the first moment we felt the warmth and soul of the place. Welcoming us was a delightful little ground-floor house, meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail and capable of recounting the origins of this land through every element. In the center of the room stands a large stove, a symbol of the harsh Lucanian winters, but also of the domestic warmth that envelops you here and makes you forget the cold. The house is colorful, cheerful, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. But the real added value is the atmosphere: it feels like stepping back in time, when the neighbor was a point of reference. And in fact, if you're missing anything—even a bottle opener to enjoy a good Lucanian wine—just knock next door, where Filomena, the owner, is always ready to help with kindness and helpfulness. Her advice is invaluable, making the experience even more authentic and special. I recommend this stay to anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep, but a place that can tell a story and make you feel truly at home.

The house was incredibly warm and welcoming, with everything needed. But the best part of this stay was the owner, Filomena, who was always attentive and available. Filomena is a truly attentive, thoughtful, and always available host, capable of making everyone feel at home from the very first moment. The vacation home in Tricarico is welcoming, well-maintained, and immersed in an authentic atmosphere, allowing you to fully experience the area and its traditions. I returned here after 22 years, for the traditional start of Carnival on January 17th, a deeply felt and meaningful moment for the community. It was exciting to rediscover the places, customs, and flavors of times gone by, thanks in part to Filomena's warm welcome. I also took the opportunity to participate in the preparation of traditional salami, a genuine and convivial experience that made me feel part of local life. Between stories, ancient gestures, and great hospitality, this stay was much more than just a vacation: it was a true return to our roots, filled with tradition, sharing, and humanity.

As with other reviews, I try to provide descriptive information (data) first, then add some personal opinions. The house is located in one of the newest areas of the town. It's easily accessible from any direction. Parking is available within a 10-meter radius, allowing for virtually any means of transportation. A regular car can be parked right outside the front door, or a camper/van can be parked in a clearing in front of the house, making loading and unloading extremely convenient. The house has two sides, ensuring it's always well-lit. Completely renovated, it features soundproof and/or temperature-resistant windows and doors, and is equipped with everything you need for short or long stays. Let's move on to a more personal note. Returning to Tricarico as tourists, being able to count on Filomena and her house was a great comfort for us. A warm and welcoming place, clean and organized down to the last detail. Tables, chairs, and furniture, full of past lives, are ready to welcome new life. Because her home is a place designed to reduce waste, recycle, and reuse objects, making them eternal.
