Frascati Country House

We had a fantastic stay at Frascati Country House. The location is simply perfect: only about 20 km from Rome, yet surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Castelli Romani Regional Park. This combination of a vibrant world city and the peaceful Italian countryside is hard to beat. Rome needs no introduction, but don't underestimate Castelli Romani. The region offers beautiful nature, charming villages, excellent restaurants and an impressive amount of history. It is well worth exploring. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Throughout our stay they were always friendly, helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a question. The apartment is comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The swimming pool is wonderful. We stayed for a week and were almost always the only guests using it, making it feel like a private pool. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome. A bottle of wine, breakfast essentials for the first morning, and detergent for both the washing machine and dishwasher were all waiting for us. Small touches like these made us feel immediately at home. If you're looking for the perfect base to combine Rome with the authentic Italian countryside, don't hesitate. We highly recommend Frascati Country House and would gladly return.

I guess I drew the short straw. My room was very well-appointed but I had to walk up and down a series of steps that, as a 72-year-old, were a little daunting, especiallyin the dark. There are segments without hand rails and the surfaces are very uneven. Falls are the #1 cause of injuries in older people. Although the patio was beautiful there was a view of some sort of large dome that occasionally emitted what sounded like fireworks. I had car trouble one evening and called the main number. The man who answered was abrupt and said I needed to call someone else. I tried two other numbers but no one responded until the next day. Fortunately I resolved my car issue without assistance. I would stay here again but specify my requirements regarding the steps. They also provided two bottles of wine. 😁

Beyond beautiful and very comfortable

Terrible, not worth the money they ask. I don't usually write these reviews, but the loft is uncomfortable and difficult to get to. The apartment is old, it lacks mosquito nets and air conditioning, the floor is cracked, the drain doesn't work properly, the mattress is very old, the water heater doesn't work, and I could go on. The pool is far away, and the road to get there is in a bad condition. However, they charge as much as a 4- or 5-star hotel.

Excellent Airbnb experience here, with a clean pool, towels, and other amenities. Felt more like a fancy hotel.
