Amazing place! Perfect and peaceful getaway from the city. Barbara the host is so sweet and friendly, she welcomed us upon check in and gave us a tour. The hot tub area is great, we used it both days we were there, just make sure to reserve first. Mosquito repellent is a must — other than that, everything was wonderful.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Borgo Casalvento! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming, rustic atmosphere. The property is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking Tuscan landscapes that are perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our accommodations were comfortable and beautifully appointed, blending traditional charm with modern amenities. The pool area was a highlight, offering a serene spot to unwind while enjoying the picturesque views. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, providing excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for exploring the Tuscan countryside, Borgo Casalvento is the perfect choice. We can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay in Borgo Casalvento. Barbara is an exceptional host who will do her best to support and accommodate to the guests needs. We felt always very welcomed and at home. The facilities are all new and top notch. Location is very quiet but just few minutes drive from the beautiful medieval city Pistoia. The planned addition of E-bikes service will just make it an ideal spot for cyclists as several touristic routes are available in the area.

We have stayed there 3 times and we love the place. Barbara, the owner is great. She welcomes you when you arrive and visits the property every day to check if everything is alright or if you need something. We stayed in one of the 3 apartments "in the front" (L' AIA if I'm not mistaking), overlooking the grass, pool etc. I would recommend the front apartments over the "back facing" ones. We had the middle apartment in the front. 3 bedrooms, AC'd bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Large apartment with a great kitchen if you would like to cook. The apartment stays cool although outside it is very warm, which is great. You can drink from the tap (I did and it is fine). Showers are good. Plenty of water and also warm when you need it to be. The pool is heated but it does feels cold. Around 24 degrees Celsius. Small kids don't mind at all unlike me : ) There are no slides though, which could be a thing for older kids. However, great small kids and adults pool. It gets cleaned more than enough. There also is an indoor hot tub. Great addition to relax. Also, there is a small playground with slides and a play house for kids. There is a small supermarket 3km's down the hill, a Conad City. Good place for your day to day groceries. Lots of free parking. They don't have everything you will need but there also is a large UniCoop 9km's away in Pistoia. Also, lots of free parking and enough EV chargers (Enel X and I used the Shell ReCharge card for that). New to me was the wine tasting, whites 1 week and reds the other. Great addition and a chance to have a drink and bite with other visitors if you like that. It is great for kids, till the age of 6 in my opinion. It all depends on the other guest's kids. My daughter had a great 2 weeks last time we visit. She is almost 4 years old and had plenty of other kids to play with. In the evening, it is very quiet to sit down in front of the apartment and chill. The only downside I can think of are the bees, mosquito's and other creatures which can bite. Prepare yourself for that. There are great products down the hill in the supermarket for that. Dade is your best friend (I believe the brand is called Off). Other than that, great stay and great hostess. One addition: so far no EV charging capability. you could charge with 220v but get an adapter because my current plug didn't fit.

It's a great place to spend holidays. Perfect hideaway, although there are lovely cities within 30 minutes ride - Lucca, Pistoia, Firenze, Vinci etc. Also lots of local restaurants nearby, so everybody can find something interesting. Hosts are amazing. Barbara makes sure, that you've got all you need for stay. Just don't forget mosquito repellent spray. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and tere is an a/c in most of them. Area next to the pools is huge, so even if there are couple of families there's no feeling of being surrounded by people. We'll definitely come back!
