We stayed at B&B i Pioppi from June 23 to June 30 on a half-board basis with beach service. The rooms were very clean and equipped with every comfort; the only downside was a mini-fridge. The beach service was excellent; the location of the lido is very convenient, and the shallow beach allows for good access to the sea, even from the third and last row. However, the shuttle service hours are limited. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. We will be back.
We had a really good time, except that we had trouble getting the shuttle because the schedule was limited. There wasn't a mini-fridge in the room, but otherwise we enjoyed both the food at the restaurant and the surrounding area.
The B&B is nice, the rooms are clean, and there's a beautiful panoramic terrace, but it's in the middle of nowhere! Whatever you want to do, you have to take the car and go even for a simple bottle of water. The breakfast is very simple but nice. The beach is far from the accommodation, but always nice. The dinner is good. I recommend it to couples, but for those like me with two children, it's stressful having to always take the car. The best thing about this weekend was ANNA's kindness and helpfulness. The owner, a bit arrogant, after paying €200 for the room at the B&B Pioppi. We wanted to change and take a room at the Hotel Margherita (near the beach), he asked us for a supplement of €150, which in my opinion is excessive. But it's okay. Overall, a nice weekend, no particular expectations.
The facility is clean. Breakfast is a bit sparse, but Anna is very kind and always available. Dinner at the Margherita Hotel: the food is good quality but very sparse; even the bread is served sparingly. Rosaria and Marco, the waiters, are attentive to our every need. Unfortunately, the employer is someone who leaves no room for thought, so everyone is just soldiers in his service. Including us. We were standing under another umbrella and they scolded us; we should have stayed in our own shade (the umbrella wasn't rented). There's nothing entertaining in Pioppi, so if you want to relax, it's a great location; otherwise, other places are better.
It's not inadvisable, it's ABSOLUTELY TO BE AVOIDED!!! Rudeness reigns supreme, everything revolves around money: at breakfast, mini-mini croissants jealously guarded in the kitchen, insufficient tables for all the guests (you have to wait for the others to finish before you can sit down), shuttle service only in one time slot (except for a €15.00 supplement) which is nothing more than the owner's old car, tap water for dinner (wine included but not served), well-rationed bread (1 slice per person), impossible to swap dinner for lunch (but anything is possible for a fee), but the icing on the cake: cleaning: not provided!!! Only after 3 days (same for towel and linen changes)... too bad no one had warned us and, to my great surprise, upon returning from the beach I tried to contact the owner for explanations or help having left the towels on the ground for the change (obviously no response received).
